DISASTER RELIEF - Haiti DISASTER RELIEF  - Haiti   Dear Co-operators,   We are all aware of the catastrophic devastation which has befallen Haiti. In an effort to alleviate the plight and suffering of the people, we attach the circular soliciting assistance to help our fellow cooperators. This is in keeping with the credit union philosophy of people helping people. Historically, we know that the Haitian people are a very resilient set of people and we pray that they will find the strength and will-power to pick up the pieces and recover from this natural disaster. CCCU President’s International Credit Union Day Message CCCU President’s  International Credit Union Day Message Happy International Credit Union Day!! On behalf of the Board of Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU), let me first of all wish our 17 Affiliates, their 300 Credit Unions and 1.9 million members, a successful and happy International Credit Union Day, as we choose to reflect on our achievements both regionally and internationally and commemorate our history. As we celebrate this day, with our entire Credit Union family worldwide, we reflect on the contributions that Credit Unions make every day in the lives of our 185 million members worldwide. The theme of our celebration this year is, Your Money. Your Choice. Your Credit Union.  This theme highlights the importance and involvement of members in the running of their Credit Union, which is owned by the members, democratically operated with heavy reliance on Voluntarism.  This theme reminds our 1.9 million members regionally and our over 185 million members worldwide, who choose Credit Unions as their access to financial services, that Credit Unions are all about them - your money, your choice and your Credit Union.   Details...
