The twin island state of St. Kitts and Nevis forms part of the Leeward chain of Islands.  The French occupied the country in the 18th century, and some Georgian architecture is still evident.  It is a very fertile Country and sugar cane is the main crop.

Tourism, off shore finance, construction and manufacturing for export are the main stay of the economy.  Brimstone Hill Forte, known as the Gibraltar of the West Indies is world famous as a tourist attraction.

Nevis is well known for its scenic charm and old fashion friendliness.  The Capital - Charlestown is famous for its restaurants and traditional architecture.  The church where Lord Nelson married Frances Nesbit is a famous tourist site.

St. Kitts and Nevis National Co-operative League Limited joined CCCU in 1979.  They hosted the Convention in 1988 and 2005.  Mr. Dwight Morton is the President of the League.
