International Convention 2012

Let’s go Jamaica...The 55th Annual International Convention and 41st Annual General Meeting of the Confederation will take place June 23 – 26, 2012, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Montego Bay, Jamaica. In recognition and celebration of the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC 2012), the Convention will be held under the theme “Cooperative Enterprises Build a Better World”.

The Convention will have a truly international flavour as Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) with membership among Credit Union Executives and Directors in fourteen (14) countries worldwide, partners with the CCCU to bring leaders of Credit Unions and Co-operatives a leadership opportunity with a global perspective.

This International Convention will also give Co-operative Sector leaders and managers the opportunity to network with a worldwide community of colleagues. General and workshop sessions will focus on leadership, governance, development strategies, innovation and competitiveness.

Convention Registration

Convention registration and hotel accommodation bookings and payments can be made online by visiting www.caribccu.coop/convention-registration.

Alternatively you can visit our website at www.caribccu.coop for direct links to the registration pages. Registration and accommodation bookings can also be made via email, fax or telephone. Early Bird registration will be available until January 31, 2012.

Registration rates quoted in US$ are as indicated in the table below.

Credit Unions and co-operatives with an asset size of less than US$10 million, will be given a discount of US$500 off their total registration fee. Participants thirty-five (35) years or under will also benefit from discounts. However, only one type of discount can be claimed by an institution.

Convention registration will be accepted until May 15th the final deadline for registration.

Hotel Accommodation

Bookings for hotel accommodation must be made with the Confederation. The Ritz Carlton Hotel Rates quoted in US dollars, are as follows:

Children Rates

0-3 years: Free
4-17 years: $75
18 and over: $105

Hotel rates are inclusive of taxes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverages.

Cancellation and Substitution

Substitutions or name changes before April 30th will incur a service charge of US$100 and thereafter US$150. However there will be no refund for the total cancellation of registrations after April 30th.
