This year’s International Credit Union (ICU) Day theme “Credit Unions Build a Better World” celebrates the important economic and social contributions credit unions make to their communities worldwide. Financial co-operatives around the globe will celebrate their heritage and contributions on October 20.

Use this day to raise awareness about credit unions and give members the opportunity to get more involved.

This year, credit unions join the greater co-operative business sector and the United Nations as they launch the International Year of Co-operatives 2012, on October 31.
