Credit Union Stalwart Passes On PDF Print E-mail

Dr. Dorothy Raymond

Credit Unions in Jamaica as well as the wider Caribbean are mourning the passing of Dr. Dorothy Raymond who died in Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday, August 23, 2015.

At the time of her death, Dr. Raymond was President of the Jamaica Teachers Association Co-operative Credit Union Ltd., and Assistant Secretary of the Board of the Jamaica League, of which she became a member in 2006. She was also regularly accredited as one of the League’s Delegates to CCCU’s Annual General Meeting.

Dr. Raymond’s funeral will take place on Saturday, September 19, at St. Richards, Red Hills, Jamaica.

Sincere condolences are expressed to the family of the late Dr. Raymond and to the Credit Union Movement in Jamaica.

May she rest in Peace!!

The Caribbean Credit Union Development Education program inaugurated its 16th week-long immersion program on Monday January 26, 2015 at the Shaw Park Hotel in warm and beautiful Ocho Rios, Jamaica under the theme “Discipline Today, Success Tomorrow.” Derrick Tulloch, President of Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League and David Wan, Country Manager for CUNA Mutual Caribbean welcomed the class of prospective Development Educators who traveled from throughout the Caribbean and from as far away as the USA and Kenya.

CCCU Endorses Cipriani College Of Labour And Co-Operative Studies On-Line Credit Union Management Certificate Programme PDF Print E-mail

The Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions has endorsed the offering by the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies, Trinidad and Tobago, of an “On-line Certificate in Credit Union Management” for which applications are now being accepted.

The application form can be accessed from the following link: http://cclcs.edu.tt/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/form_application_1-8.pdf

Persons will be required to print and complete the form and email same to the following address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it The application form must be accompanied by the application requirements listed on page 8. All academic supporting documents are to be attested to by a Notary Public or Commissioner of Affidavit. Where applicable, individuals may also produce a letter from their respective Credit Unions, indicating positions in which they have served.

Tuition and other fees are to be paid upon receipt of official acceptance from the College, following which applicants will be registered in the programme and additional information provided.

Applications should be submitted on or before September 30, 2014.
