CCCU and CUES forge Alliance

The CCCU and CUES are collaborating to provide increased opportunities for human resource development in the regional Credit Union sector and to facilitate enhanced leadership and Credit Union development skills. Under this initiative, CUES will assist in providing resource personnel for CCCU’s annual professional training workshops while attendees will also be able to avail themselves of further training activities through CUES’ International Leadership Academy

In this regard Credit Union executives and volunteers are invited to gather with colleagues to strengthen their leadership skills and advance their credit union at CUES International Leadership Academy™, April 11-14, 2011, at the Chapman Graduate School of Business, Florida International University, Miami.

Developed specifically for international credit union executives and directors, this three-and-a-half day graduate-level curriculum focuses on leadership and strategy. Topics include:

• Leading and motivating performance
• Competitive advantage
• Financial strategy
• Innovation and knowledge management
• Market segmentation

In fact, Ertis Blake, President , C&WJ Employees Co-operative Credit Union, Kingston, Jamaica, attended CUES International Leadership Academy in 2010. After implementing what he learned, his credit union increased its membership by 28.5% and assets by 14% through two mergers.
